Nancy Nelson & Marissa Pilger Suhr Middle/Secondary Track \| Using Evidence-Based Literacy Practices to Enhance Tier 1 Instruction at the Middle/Secondary Level Providing effective Tier 1 instruction strategies through the lens of the unique learning characteristics of secondary-aged students. The goal of this session is to equip educators with the practice-based strategies necessary to implement effective and consistent tier 1 literacy instruction and understand what resources and supports are needed to help them sustain those efforts in the classroom.
