Christy Chambers Burke
As chair of the 100th Anniversary Planning Workgroup, Christy became even more familiar with the pioneering work of Elizabeth Farrell and eagerly embraced the opportunity to be a founding member of the Elizabeth Farrell Society. She has been a member of CEC for over 50 years and a longtime supporter of CEC and the Yes I Can Awards.
Christy began her career as a middle school teacher for children with disabilities in her hometown of Spring Valley, Illinois, before becoming a school superintendent for large county special education agencies. She now coordinates programs for the oldest early childhood system in Hawaii.
Christy is a past president of CASE and served as the 2013 president of CEC.
Christy joined the Elizabeth Farrell Society in 2022.
