2024 Leadership Forum
The Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) and the Minnesota Department of Education will host the 2024 Leadership Forum Wednesday, October 9. This is an opportunity for leaders in special education to come together, share feedback, and work toward a common vision.
The 2024 Leadership Forum will focus on a shared vision with national and state leaders of special education. Glenna Wright-Gallo, Assistant Secretary, Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services, will present current updates and visions for OSERS/OSEP and then sit down for a question and answer session with Sonia Smith, Special Education Director for the State of Minnesota. In this environment, the Forum will provide an opportunity for dialogue between state and federal leaders.

Glenna Wright-Gallo is the assistant secretary in the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services at the United States Department of Education.
The Leadership Forum is open to any state department of education employee. It will be held immediately following the NASDSE Conference.
