On November 29th, the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) will celebrate its 45th anniversary since President Gerald Ford signed the Education for All Handicapped Children Act into law in 1975.

The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) and the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) within the U.S. Department of Education (ED) have planned several events during the week of November 30th to celebrate the progress made under the IDEA. They will also be posting new resources and stories throughout the week.
