CEC President Statement on Secretary of Education Nominee

"I applaud President-elect Biden on his selection of Connecticut Education Commissioner Miguel Cardona for Secretary of Education. Dr. Cardona has committed his career to public education, from teaching to leading at the school, district, and state levels- experiences that will guide his work at the Department. Dr. Cardona has a strong commitment to equity and diversity. We look forward to learning more about how that commitment incorporates infants, toddlers, children, youth with disabilities, and special educators in the coming weeks."
