DCDT Program Approval

DCDT conducts an approval process for post-secondary programs which train professionals in the field of career development and transition.

DCDT approval is built upon the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) preparation standards and the DCDT Transition Specialty Knowledge and Skill Set. Completers of DCDT approved programs are eligible for DCDT individual Certification which represents the only national certification for teachers/transition specialists who provide education and transition services for students with disabilities.
