DCDT Approved Programs
DCDT conducts an approval process for post-secondary programs that train professionals in the field of career development and transition.
DCDT approval is built upon the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) preparation standards and the DCDT Competencies for Transition Specialists. Completers of DCDT approved programs are eligible for the National Certification in Transition Services (NCTS) Legacy Pathway which represents the only national credentialling for teachers and transition specialists who provide education and transition services for students with disabilities.
