Yes! Click Here to join the cohort! Membership is just a piece of it, by joining the cohort you will gain access to the bi-weekly resources as well as the online community to network with peers.

If I am already a CEC Member, will my current membership be affected?

Your member benefits will not be affected by joining the cohort, and even though the cohort membership only goes until 7/31/2025, your membership will revert back to what you originally had paid for as of 8/1/2025. If your membership was set to expire prior to joining the cohort you will need to renew your membership.

Can those who are teaching through an alternative certification program participate?

Yes, this program is open to those in an alternative certification program during the last year of their program.

Can interns on provisional licenses participate in this program?

Teacher candidates who are completing paid on-the-job internships as the final part of their education preparation program and who are under the supervision of a university faculty supervisor and/or cooperating teacher may participate in this program or the last year of their special education teacher preparation program

Who Qualifies For This Membership?

Any candidate in the last year of a special education teacher preparation program qualify to participate in this program

I’m not a pre-service teacher, I’m getting another license or a certificate in a new area or I’ve been in the classroom for awhile and am in an alternative certification program. Can I still get the complimentary pre-service teacher membership?

Yes, you are eligible for the TCSN and therefore eligible for the complimentary one-year pre-service teacher membership.
