Position Summary:
The Manager of Online Learning, reporting to the Senior Manager of Online Learning, plays a crucial role in the management and execution of our professional development offerings at the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC). Our offerings currently include webinars, professional development (PD) series, PD collections, and Online Events. We analyze our results to make data-informed decisions to best support our members and PD offerings registrants. This position supports all PD offerings at CEC.

- Professional Development Content, Programs, and Resource Management (70%):
- Oversee execution and logistical aspects of PD offerings assigned including registration, Learning Management System (LMS) and product development, speaker coordination, collaborating with the Marketing and Communications Team regarding efforts to market PD offerings, and participant engagement strategies within the learning experience i.e. polls, chats, breakouts.
- Host PD offerings (i.e. Live Webinars) during the weekdays. This may include morning, afternoon, and evening.
- Support the Professional Affairs Team in planning, development, and execution of all other Professional Development offerings (i.e. PD Series host, Online Event session host, etc.)
- Create and deliver presentations related to CEC’s professional development and resource work as necessary.
- Assist in the selection of speakers and topics for online PD offerings, ensuring a high standard of educational content.
- Collaborate with Digital Team and MarCom Team to disseminate PD offerings through internal and external communications (i.e. quarterly PD Offerings flyer updates)
- Customer Service (15%):
- Respond to customer service inquiries related to professional development, assisting with registration, program access, and technical support requests.
- Provide technical and customer support for CEC’s Learning Management System (LMS) users, assisting with any platform-related inquiries or issues.
- Manage email inboxes to support customers
- Data Tracking and Reporting (10%):
- Support the management and reporting of assigned data for both internal and external communications.
- Other Duties as Assigned (5%):
Qualifications: To successfully perform this job, an individual must consistently deliver high-quality, professional work regarding each essential duty. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. - Education/Experience: BA/BS degree and three or more years of progressive experience in contributing to the design and development of online professional development webinars, e-learning programs, and Learning Management Systems (LMS) usage. Professional development and/or program management experience a plus.
- Language Ability: Strong written and oral communication skills and proofreading and editing skills; excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
- Technology Skills: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint); experience with project management software and webinar platforms; understanding of learning management systems is preferred, Cadmium’s Elevate LMS is a plus.
- Additional Skills: Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams, volunteers, and external partners; Event planning or support experience preferred.
