This issue is the last of our first year as editors of Exceptional Children (EC) and the end of a period of transition into these roles, after the journal's 8 years under the accomplished leadership of professors William (Bill) Therrien and John Willis Lloyd. It has been extremely fulfilling to serve as the editors for a journal where special education scholars, practitioners, and policymakers share their concerns for and commitments to educational and social access, participation, and outcomes for youth with disabilities. It also has been both energizing and humbling. We thank EC's readers, submitting authors, reviewers, and associate editors for your encouragement and patience as we grew into our roles.
