Supporting the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC) through a charitable gift supports all of the work of the organization.

Your donations today will go toward building endowments to support CEC's work in several areas.
Advocacy Fund
Support CEC’s efforts to advance the field of special education as we advocate for legislative policies and funding that support the education of children and youth with disabilities and/or gifts and talents.
Diversity Fund
Support the infusion of diversity, equity, and inclusion through CEC’s educational and professional programs and activities with allied/related associations and organizations. This fund will ensure that CEC’s work is enriched by individuals who bring a variety of perspectives.
Fund for the Future
No one can predict the future—especially when it comes to the needs of the field and/or CEC. This fund is designated to support strategic initiatives so that CEC is able to remain agile, flexible, and responsive by having the financial resources needed to lead key efforts as the field demands.
Rising Stars Fund
Help CEC attract, prepare, and retain a robust special education workforce. This fund is designed to provide continuing support for efforts and projects that assist educator preparation candidates and early-career professionals.
Yes I Can Fund
The Yes I Can Awards program has been a staple at CEC since 1981. This fund ensures that the Yes I Can program continues to recognize and celebrate the achievements of children and youth with disabilities and the educators and families who support them.

It’s easy to create a Giving Tuesday (or any time!) fundraiser for CEC on Facebook by clicking here. It’s free, and 100% of the money raised is returned to CEC. Be sure to personalize your fundraiser about why CEC and supporting students with exceptionalities is important to you.
Your membership dues go to help with this year’s operations. However, when you make a charitable contribution, you help CEC grow important programs that support our members as they serve students with disabilities and talents and/or gifts.
When you give to a CEC endowment, you are supporting not only current activity but activity into the future. Each fund, described above, has a particular area of focus and your funds will only support those efforts.
All donations to CEC Endowments are 100% tax deductible and are designed to serve CEC and the field now and into the future.
