Special Educator Preparation Programs Can Now Apply for CEC Accreditation Eligibility

After more than a year of feedback and review, we are excited to announce that programs preparing special education professionals can now apply for CEC Accreditation Eligibility.

Eligible programs will fall under the scope of CEC's Accreditation and adhere to all accreditation policies and eligibility requirements. The scope and other frequently asked questions can be found here.

To complete an application for accreditation eligibility, programs will be asked to submit background information, state authorization, and regional accreditation status. CEC staff will review the submitted information for completeness and adherence to eligibility policies. Once you apply, you'll receive a follow-up with next steps.
