OSERS Seeks Public Comments to Improve IDEA Technical Assistance
The US Department of Education (ED) under the Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services (OSERS) is proposing a new priority requirement for a “National Technical Assistance Center to Improve State Capacity to Collect, Report, Analyze, and Use Accurate IDEA Data to Address Significant Disproportionality (Center) under the Technical Assistance on State Data Collection program.” Responding to an identified need to provide technical assistance to states so that they have the capacity to meet data collection requirements under Part B and Part C of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA), OSERS suggests five questions to focus input. Comments must be received on or before June 12.
