I am a 40-year veteran educator. My entire career involved teaching Special Education or being the Special Education Director. After retiring from being the District Superintendent in rural Alaska, I am back in the classroom as a Special Education paraprofessional. Alaska, like the rest of the nation, has a severe shortage.

I been involved in CEC almost since I started teaching. I have been involved in CEC leadership at both the State and national level. I spent three terms as the secretary for the Council of Administrators of Special Education (CASE) national Board of Directors and am now serving my third term on the CEC Board of Directors.  Needless to say, I am committed to the organization.
