Increased focus on participation in transition planning for individuals with disabilities expands the need for effective interventions to support their success. This paper describes the use of a naturalistic self-monitoring protocol designed to increase students’ with intellectual disabilities ability to develop, implement, monitor, and evaluate their own interventions. Such skills increase independence and promote self-determined behaviors.
