OSEP Announces Kickoff Event for Transition Initiative

Successful Transition for All. Expect. Engage. Empower.

The Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) will launch a special initiative “Expect, Engage, Empower: Successful Transitions for All (3Es),” with a virtual event to take place on May 10, from 1:00pm – 2:30pm ET. The initiative brings together stakeholders from various sectors to explore strategies and innovative approaches to help youth with disabilities and their families to prepare for the transition from school to their next steps in life.

The announcement for the kickoff event says, in part, “OSEP believes that every part of education, including instructional practices, related services, curricular standards and beyond, leads, connects, and builds toward the purpose of readying students with disabilities for lifelong success.” More information regarding the 3Es Program will be added as resources are developed.
