Meet Angie Jasper, Our President Elect!

By: Dr. Danielle Kovach

If there's one thing I've learned as CEC's 2022 President, it's that teamwork makes the dream work. And talk about a team! I am grateful for the guidance and expertise of Dr. Dennis Cavitt (Immediate Past President), Dr. Angie Jasper (President-Elect), Dr. Yvonne Bui (Treasurer), and Chad Rummel (Executive Director). Combined with our steadfast Board of Directors and dedicated CEC staff, I cannot wait to see where 2022 will take us and what's in store for 2023!

President-Elect Dr. Jasper has a long history as a CEC leader and volunteer, serving on CEC’s Board of Directors and countless committees. She is also active in several CEC Special Interest Divisions, including the Division for Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Exceptional Learners (DDEL), the Division on Autism and Developmental Disabilities (DADD), and the Teacher Education Division (TED). She recently completed her term as the president of the Michigan Council for Exceptional Children.

Listen in as Angie and I chat about her upcoming role as the 2023 CEC President!
